Download our first Annual Report
The Duke Department of Neurology has released its first Annual Report, which highlights some of the achievements and progress our clinicians, researchers, and educators have made over the past 12 months. In addition to providing information about the Department, this annual report focuses on the following four stories:
- "Unlocking Alzheimer's disease," which examines how Carol Colton, PhD, is investigating how the body's own immune system may play a major role in the formation of Alzheimer's disease.
- "Opening eyes in El-Doret," which follows two of our recently graduated residents who traveled to Eldoret, Kenya, to help doctors there provide better neurological care.
- "Getting the best stroke care--wherever you are," which tells the story of Juanita Grant, a Danville, Virginia stroke patient who received life-saving care from Durham thanks to the Duke Telestroke network
- "Cultivating innovation with CLIP," which explores the Clinical Laboratory Interface Program, a multidisciplinary group investigating new potential breakthrough therapies for traumatic brain injury and other conditions
