LVH ALS Foundation holding golf tournament and benefit dinner on Sept. 8
The LVH ALS Foundation will hold its fourth annual golf tournament and benefit dinner on on Friday, September 8, to raise money for advocacy, awareness, and treatment research for ALS. A full day of events, from golf games, shoot-outs, and a silent auction in the morning, to dinner, music, and a raffle for a "mountain and golf getaway" vacation in the evening, will advance our understanding of ALS and help people with this condition. To date, the LVH ALS Foundation has raised more than $750,000 in the fight against ALS. The foundation is named for Larry Vance Hughes, a resident of Clemmons, NC, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2013 and passed from the condition in 2014. Through a partnership with Duke University, the foundation is committed to raising funds and awareness to find a cure for ALS. Read more about the Foundation here.
