WRAL covers Duke mission to help Ugandan hospitals, doctors, provide better care

WRAL recently ran an extended series of stories focusing on a Duke-led visit to improve neurosurgery care in Uganda. Duke Neurosurgery's Michael Haglund, MD, PhD, and 21 other Duke providers including Carmelo Graffagnino, MD, visited Mengo hospital in Kampala to train doctors and nurses how to perform neurosurgical operations as well as to help patients recover. The team also helped Ugandan providers establish facilities where patients could be safely treated. As part of the effort, WRAL's Amanda Lamb traveled along with the group, reporting on a daily basis. Check out some of these stories below.
