Resident Life

graduating residents

The Duke Neurology residency program is intense but does allow for time outside of work. Our residents are a tight-knit community, whether working at Duke, meeting after hours, or taking time to explore the growing food scene of Durham and the Triangle.

I have felt so at home within the Duke family. Everyone is always willing to listen and to help. I strongly believe I will get exceptional training here. I also love that that the program does not limit resident research to basic science, but that I will have the opportunity for educational and quality improvement research as well. Mishy Roy, MD, MHA - Resident, class of 2023

I get to live right near many of my former teammates and close friends in an area with great food and a bounty of affordable experiences. With a population that is exploding and three major universities full of diverse people, it's an area where you can find a cultural community while also being able to experience and learn from others. Dylan Ryan, MD, Resident, class of 2023
