Medical Alumni Weekend: North Carolina State of the State: Behavioral Health

Medical Alumni Weekend Carrie Brown, MD, MPH, DFAPA, provides psychiatric leadership across NCDHHS and serves as the Chief Medical Officer for North Carolina's 13 state-operated healthcare facilities. As a graduate of Princeton University, she completed her medical training at Duke University and MPH at UNC Gillings School of Public Health. She has extensive clinical experience across community, inpatient, integrated care, and correctional settings. She also serves as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the UNC School of Medicine and an Assistant Consulting Professor in the Duke University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
