Colton, Hudak win School of Medicine's Faculty Awards

Congratulations are in order to Carol Colton, PhD, and Nicholas Hudak, PA-C, who were selected from among the entire faculty of the Duke University School of Medicine to receive the School's 2020 faculty awards.

Carol Colton, PhD received the School's Career Mentoring Award in Basic – Translational Science for her nearly three decades of mentoring research faculty."[Colton] has shared her expertise and life experience with mentees. To me, she embodies three important qualities a researcher needs: curiosity, resilience, and joy," said Alexandra Badea, PhD, one of the many female faculty members Colton has mentored at Duke.

Nicholas Hudak, PA-C, was one of two winners of the School's Interprofessional Education Excellence Award. This award, established by Duke AHEAD (Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development) honors members who have demonstrated commitment, enthusiasm, competence, and innovation in promoting Interprofessional Education in teaching, scholarly work, and/or clinical education.
