On national Nurse Practitioner week, the Duke Neurology Department would like to thank and recognize our nurse practitioners (NPs). Nurse practitioners play a critical role in the Duke Neurology Department, the Duke University Health System, and in our national health care system. Twenty-six nurse practitioners currently work within eight divisions within our Department. Across the country, nearly 300,000 NPs provide compassionate, advanced patient care to more than 1 billion patient visits each year.
