Cina Sasannejad, MD
"I had an amazing NCC experience in my week with Dr. Sasannejad. He taught on rounds, every day, in an effective manner consolidating imaging findings with the clinical picture and the most recent data available, with respect to clinical trials, to guide evidence-based treatment for the patients. Decisions made on rounds always incorporated everyone’s (nursing, RT, APP, and fellow) viewpoints, making us all feel heard. Dr. Sasannejad has a calm, relaxed temperament that many patients loved. Patient’s repeatedly ask for his business card and ask if he has a clinic so that they can see him in the outpatient setting. He is warm, friendly and patients and their families love talking to him. He genuinely cares since he will remain standing, listening to everything that patients and their families have to say with a disarming, respectful look. I personally feel that he is knowledgeable, kind, forgiving, and helpful. As a PGY-6 I have rotated through many different services and attendings, and he stands out. He’s well balanced, kind, educational, inclusive, and has a great sense of humor. I do not have any more neuro ICU rotations coming up, but if I did, I would want to be with him. I hope he gets recognized!"

Jordan Larsen, MD

"Jordan is truly the definition of selflessness. In the patient interactions that I have had the privilege of witnessing, whether it is in-person or through Duke MyChart, she emanates compassion, empathy, and care. She covered my Duke MyChart messages while I was on vacation. One of my patients had requested trying a different migraine medication. Jordan looked through my previous notes to see what our plan for a next medication was going to be, prescribed it for the patient, and sent her a detailed explanation of possible side effects. Jordan inspires me to be a better doctor every day. I am so blessed to have her as a co-resident."
